If its a 2006 precedent (and hasn't been updated) you have four 12v batteries - correct? If so, the 12v batteries may be at the end of their lives (in fact yours have lasted a year or two longer than is typical; because the 12v batteries were one of CC's bad ideas which they've migrated away from). You may not be limping - you may be dying!

Connect a multimeter to the "outside" + and - posts on your battery pack - post that voltage (after the pack has sat for 12 hours off-charge). It should read between 49.5 to 50.5 volts at least. Then leaving the multimeter connected, drive the cart and monitor the voltage while going up a hill and post that voltage.
