I would go back through the battery cables, pull and tugg on them and make sure the cart wiring makes a circuit from Positive on the first battery all the way through to the 6th battery where the ground is connected.
If you find any loose cable connections by tugging and pulling on them, Tighten it. It just takes one bad connection to cause the same symptoms you have explained.
I believe you will find a bad connection causing the "dead" symptom.
Also get a volt meter and measure the posititive of the #1 battery to the neg post of the #6 battery. You will also find the connected cables going to the carts devices from these points too. Tell us what your total Battery Pack Voltage is.
