14 ft/lbs. Right out of the yamaha shop manual. If you got to 28 ft/lbs you are lucky nothing snapped or stripped with the G16 having a cast aluminum rod. If that excessive torque will cause rod/crank issues might be a concern as the G16 as the G16 has no shell bearings. Maybe one of the yamaha pros on here can say if rod could be warped out of round.
