I've seen some other threads on this. Been quite a few suggestions on dealing with this issue. However, I don't recall if the camera in the tailgate was ever discussed. If I can find any of those threads, I'll link to them in this thread.
I have a 2012 Ram 1500 4 door, with a short bed. No camera in the tailgate. I won't be hauling a trailer, so I don't have that concern. My lady just ordered me a kit from this website, which is supposed to arrive today.
