Default Re: Charging problem 1996 Club Car 48V DS non-regen cart

SORRY NO, unless you add some kind of timer circuit to your charger and leave ground from receptical hooked to negative post of battery pack? I do not recommend that as your batterys will not last very long unless you are willing to baby sit the batterys to confirm charger has been on long enough each time? THERE WILL BE NO TAPERING OFF OF CHARGE and damage will be EXPENSIVE? The need for EQUALIZING CHARGE is so important on golf cart batterys to remove the possibliity of sulfation and shortening battery life. Even then you loose the ability to I feel the OBC and Club Car charger is the best set up available, even if it is a pain at times? Just add a meter of your choice and install it where light is now mounted in dash. NOTE I do not recommend many meters as they dont last very long or give incorrect readings ( I like analog "adjustable" meters ) as they are most fool proof in my opinion.
