If I remember correctly, you have a G2 right? The fuel pumps on these work off of partial vacuum from a line coming off the back of the engine. Make sure it is not cracked or damaged. You should be able to use another type of fuel pump as long as the volume is about the same. Take your pump off, take it apart, and clean it out really good if you haven't already. Also make sure the fuel filter is not clogged up. G2's fuel filter is located in the bottom of the tank (screwed in/big black plastic cap, follow the fuel line down to the tank) and notorious for breaking apart and clogging up. I actually cut them out and then install an inline filter.
Thanks Yes come to find out from a cowork he told me there isnt a gear, the way my belt was is connected was correct.
And as for the fuel pump I am asking because I currently don't have one and need to buy one
