Lady bug, I have a G8 and I'm not aware of mine having a rev liniter. With all the mods, are you sure it's not lean and falling on it's face on the top end?
Get it warm, then run it WOT for 40 yrds or so, and with out closing the throttle shut off the key and try to get it to neutral, then stop. Let it cool with seat up for 10 min. (aluminum) don't want to gull the spark plug threads in the head.
Pull the plug, and in the sun, look down the side of the porcelen insulater part of the plug. If it is white, it is lean. If it is tan or gray, that is where you want it.
Also the stock carb. is going to be restrictive somewhere in the chain of your performance improvments. You may need to talk to Plowmans.
