Hey guys,
I just installed a jakes 5" drop axle on my workhorse (MPT 1200) 2005 model. The tie rod bottoms out in the ends before bringing the hubs back straight. I cut 5 threads off each end of the tie rod and it got a little "better", this was without the jam-nuts in place. this lift is advertised as "NOT A ST 350 COPY". The instructions mentioned nothing about a shorter tie rod or having to cut this one. my ?? is that with the tie rod now appearing to be TOO LONG, is the tie rod on the 350 shorter anyway or maybe the mpt stock axle is wider? Is there something I am overlooking? I'll get some pics once I get the tires and rims on it and get this pigeon toe problem fixed.
