Big Buck Hunting
This thread is for only the hunters that hunt the BigOne. Please respond with stories of some the largest deer you have seen. Not neccessarily your's but stories of hunts you've been associated with. Harvesting the deer is optional. Seeing the deer is mandatory.
I started thread, so here is my story.
My middle brother(me being the youngest, and one older than my middle)and I have had a close relationship. We decided on a hunting trip to introduce his sons to deer hunting. Stands had been built and we decided who would hunt where. Well, I harvested a nice mature doe. I went back to camp and waited and waited. Finally, my brother shows up. He says, I was trying to get the boys settled(ages 4 and 6) onto the stand and then the oldest son says Dad Shoot that one. So within two minutes my brother's sons were introduced to deer hunting. At the time it was the 2nd largest deer taken in the county. Now it is around 6-7 place. Which is a good thing, I need a bigger buck than my brother.
