Do you turn all your calls from laminated blanks? I have quite a bit of osage orange I use to build bows from. I gave a chunk to a guy turning calls that were a little like yours. He was supposed to give me a call in return but never did. I don't duck hunt much anymore anyway but I did want to see one from my wood.
