A lot of those baby diesels have a 4.5 on 5 bolt pattern tapped in to the flywheel to mount the clutch to run reefer units, what does your flywheel look like? You can drill a piece of plate to that pattern and have it machined true, giving you the ability to mount most anything to it. Your rpm will probably be governed to around 3600, you will need to modify your gearing to reach any kind of decent top speeds. Looks like another build I saw on here used 8:1 gearing for top speed and a 1190 clutch with proper springs.
I put a kubota out of a reefer unit on my pontoon boat, never messed with trying to get it in a cart. Had to have a couple one off adapters machined and built custom mounts for the throttle and kill switch.
