Be sure to put the carts run/tow switch in tow before you do anything involving electrical. And I’d remove at least the primary negative cable, if not both the primary negative and positive cables. If you have ANY confusion about this STOP and ask for clarification. Failure to do so may result in very expensive repairs.

Looking under the cart from the rear you will see the rear axle with the motor on top. The motor attaches to the rear axle left of center line of cart. On the opposite end of the motor, the end facing the right (passenger side) rear tire you will find the speed sensor. See link above for picture. Small black top hat looking thing with three colored wires coming out of it. Two small machine screws hold it on.
