Interesting. Always love going in behind someone else. It always unravels a ball of fun seeing all the corners they cut too

I got a setup on my workbench where I can turn the engine over and check compression . I have not removed the head so I am going to remove belt and put it back in time.
Unless someone shaved the head and maybe a little carbon on top of pistons I cannot answer why the high compression. I actually never thought about it. Don't think I have ever seen compression on one of these 9hps that high.
When I get the timing back in place correct and drive clutch installed I will find out just what is going on. It won't take long to do my test.
Tomorrow I may sweep the floor. I know I can do that unless I trip over the broom
