Don't get the controller wet, they don't like water. Avoid excessively spraying the VGlide (if it has one) and the F R switch and solenoid. A general rule of thumb is don't direct water toward anything that looks electrical. You won't hurt the motor by hosing it down.

Eagle one cleaner is a good idea, others have reported it works wonders on frames, though I've never used it.

Just saw Steve's post, so I'll add some things: The F R switch can cause problems when wet, but a little water won't hurt it. I've found that a little WD 40 on the contacts will cause a cart that doesn't run because the switch is wet to run. The motor can be damaged by water on the inside (think totally submerged) but I've never had hosing one off and washing it cause me any problems.
