Default Re: Testing Testing Testing

Help us help you! Use good grammar and spelling so we know what you're talking about!

Your and You're
Your shows possession, as in it belongs to you or who you are referring to.
In sentence: Your new truck is very nice looking!

You're is a contraction of "you" and "are." It is like saying, You are... but in condensed form.
In sentence: If you're going to the store, pick up a bag of chips also.

INCORRECT USAGE:

X Your going to be banned if you post spam.
This is like saying that you have a "going to be banned if you post spam."

To, Too, and Two
To is usually showing the direction of an object or the noun (person, place, thing, or idea) being affected by something.
Too is just a replacement for the word, "also." It usualy means "in addition to."
2 is Two

COMMAS COMMAS COMMAS
Without these (,) simple little objects, our language is unreadable.

A sentence with no commas, when it needs them, is called a "run-on."

EXAMPLE
Jane is going to the dealership to try out an Acadia Frontier Tacoma Tahoe and Outback.
>CORRECTION: Jane is going to the dealership to try out an Acadia, Frontier, Tacoma, Tahoe, and Outback.
