Most likely you have a bad connection somewhere in the system....doesn't matter how old or new it is, connections do go bad. You should check your connection at least once a month....and I don't mean "look" at them, I mean physically tug on them one at a time, look for corrosion and make sure they are clean and tight. Take them loose one at a time, clean and re-install.
