The only thing that it could be is reverse polarity. Check your charger plug for positive & negative. Then the cart plug. If the cart runs fine then it is not the cart. If it doesn't then check batt connections. Remember now, when you hook up the batt bank it is i/e in series neg to pos or pos to neg. Sometimes people will buy one or two batts out of 6 batts and connect them wrong. DO NOT BLAME THE BATT CHARGER YET unless you have a shorted diode in your batt charger.
