Default Re: Trojan batteries

Thank you Johnnie B for the response.

Okay I will go with your advice. I have never allowed the battery level to get below 80%.

All cells were VERY consitent (within the same battery) in their readings

My biggest issue was with the warranty. I bought the cart in April with a full year warranty, and if the batteries are having an issue I wanted to use my warranty before it was too late.

The batteries read E2. That should be May 2002 or May 2012. The problem is I purchased the cart (with what I was told new batteries in it) in April 2012. Seems like it would be difficult to buy a set May 2012 in April 2012.

I just want to make the correct decision regarding them. My 1 yr warranty runs up on April 20 2013.

1. How do I check the electrolyte levels?
2. I have a guage meter but it has a bunch of settings, what should it be on to check the individual battery voltages?
3. Yes I have lights hooked up (of course they are hooked to the weakest 2)
4. Not sure about the charger, will check
