If you have 4ga cables on your cart, you should be set to go without entertaining a larger controller.

Your cart comes with a 4KW sepex motor, a 400 amp Curtis 1268 controller and is a good one for almost any kind of power that you want to ask from it.
Trying not to be too technical here but sepex motors don't have the same grunt from a dead stop, but once you get them spinning they will actually perform as well or better than a series motor. Series motors are dependent on the controller for torque, sepex motors are not nearly as much because the loss in efficiency is much less with a sepex controller.

The controller is "Dual Mode" programmable and with a simple rocker switch and a program change you can have it be a hauler and a 30 mph cruiser.
