Default Re: Alltrax DCX 500 motor controller install

Installed dozen of these...

The four pin connection is not used on the Alltrax controllers. It used to program stock controllers. Just tie it up and out of the way.

Your stock solenoid will not work with this controller, the stock solenoid is only rated at 100 amp continuous and that is not sufficient, it will burn up. With a 400 amp controller you would use a 200 amp continuous solenoid.

500 amp controllers and up require a 400 amp solenoid..... So you will may run for a bit but trust me the stock solenoid will burn up...

Also, if you are using a stock motor or even a Plumquick modified motor, the motor plug from the end of the motor (speed sensor) will not be used by the Alltrax, so you can either disconnect it or unplug it either way.

If you have other questions just let me know.
