If you use the proper adapter, the only problem can be getting your old steering wheel off. Depending on how old your cart is and how long your wheel has had to bond to the column, it can be a bear to get the old wheel off. Some members have had to cut their old ones off actually.

After it's off and you have all the right parts to put the new one on, it's just a matter of making sure the new steering wheel is straight before tightening everything up.

As far as the aftermarket wheel's safty concerns, they are built to a much higher standard than the Golf Cart steering wheels because they are made to conform to the Automotive Safty Standards.

Because vehicles go much faster and weigh a whole lot more than golf carts do, the companies have to design the parts to be safe for major high speed accidents.
