Default Re: series or regen?

I am brand new to carts. So I won't even try to dispute the other comments here. I have a 2002 DS, series. My issue is with the f&R switch. Because the series version pulls on the cables back and forth, I have issues with the forward cable fraying. The regen type or toggle swith seems to make more sense to me. Having said that, for all the reasons that the others have mentioned, I am enjoying the extra torgue I am getting...
I use my cart for hunting also. BTW, I'm getting almost 25 MPH on paved roads with this cart. As for torque, The cart breezes through the hills and dirt roads of my hunting lease. I don't use a trailer and it climbs up the ramps and into my P/U bed without even the slightest hesitation.....

It does have a 700 amp motor/controller....
