Your motor will be OK - a controller upgrade isn't necessary, but something that you may 'want' to do. The FIRST thing you need to do is buy a DECENT lift kit. Don't cut corners here - you'll regret it later. Second, a complete 4gauge cable set is a MUST. This alone is what all our rebuilt / lifted carts recieve.
