Yes the main output of a cart charger is DC

Up to 44+ for a 36v and 52+ VDC for a 48volt But with any AC to DC conversion there is some allowable amount of ac voltage. It's 11:00 PM do you now where your stray voltage is ?

This is also true for automobile and gas cart alternators. These days of computer controlled everything it can be a factor.
