So.... Here is the response from Madjax.

Thank you for looking to Madjax for your accessory needs. The MJ1230C will not work in this application because the 1230 is key switch operated. If you leave the converter on all the time it will burn up it up. It is not designed to stay on all the time. That being said, no the converter does not have a auto shut off. It could possibly be set up to push voltage to the 12 volt battery but you would have to manually turn it off after 2-3 hours.

So I guess I can use it in conjunction with a battery tender?.?. I'm going to try it and find out. What's the worse that could happen right. LOL
