Default Re: Winter storage?

I store some vehicles I need to charge them once a month if the temps are hitting freezing, maybe 3 weeks if temps stay under freezing like in jan/feb or I just leave the maintainer on in temps that cold. These are 12v car batteries and are inside but no heat. That keeps the voltage up and have had no issues with them. I go two months above freezing then the car itself can run them down in some cases if you don't charge. Other batteries I take inside and charge them once when I take them in and once when I put them back in service. It does make a difference with a car as they use current while gas GC and lawn equipment does not.

Actually my gas cart I usually leave and do nothing to it, but it only stays parked about three months and I am screwing with it or weather is warmer. Typically after new years the snow is too deep and I cant run it until april or so.
