Yamaha Big block build on G8. Swing arm bushing.
Dropping a vanguard in a Yamaha G8- has single 2" swing arm rubber mount with the 2 side torsion bars. I reversed the swing arm underneath the frame mount, vs on top stock, to gain more clearance. Bushing is pretty rotted and I am concerned going below with even installing a new bushing I may have problems.
Any ever done this and if so any problems? Any one ever use anything else than the stock swing arm mount and have luck? |

I'm not a yamaha guy but I've seen different people on here lower the front to level out the motor after they lift it so I'm sure there is a way. Someone will be along soon to help ya out.

Sand drag, I just saw this thread, and I dropped my G8 with a 1/2" heim joint.
But you have to drop the trailing arms the same 4" to keep the geomotry correct. |

Thanks Mike.
I ended up using mount off a snowmobile. 1" thick alot better material. but still gives enough swing. still going to put in a cable or strap just in case it would let go |
