Anyone have DCX500 install pics???

Does anyone have photos of how they installed the DCX500? Or a copy (or link) of the installation instructions.

Had my contoller shipped to my dad's but would like to look over the instr or photos before I head down there just to get an idea of what I want to do.

Searched all over alltrax's website and here but couldn't find them.

It came with the 400a fuse but that was it. Is there supposed to be some sort of diode that goes on the solenoid?

Thanks

The instructions are on Alltrax's website. Not really "instructions" but diagrams and manuals. There are no "instructions" per say. You just gotta be able to comprehend the diagram.

Directions are in the box! They aren't very detailed, because it isn't a very detailed job - Did your dad get it already? We didn't order a diode for the solenoid, did you need one? If you have one on your old solenoid, you can re-use it. Just pay attention to where the little line is and install it the same direction / side...

Yep, he called me today and said he got the contoller but not the solenoid yet. He has no way to send me a copy of instructions thats why I was trying to find some myself to get an idea of what to do. Just trying to plan ahead.

He said the controller was large. Will this fit on the heat sink already in the cart - with just having to drill new holes?

Not sure if mine has a diode already. What about the pre-charge resistor, do I need it also? I might just order these if you carry them, Mike. So I know I'll have them when I go down there.

I wanna get it installed so bad I'm tempted to take some vacation days to go down there and get it installed. But gotta save 'em for now.

Yes it fits on the heat sink:thumbup: Yes it's a MONSTER:thumbup: You just won't reuse the controller cover. We had to ship the solenoid from another location to get you all the parts at the time you needed. It should be there tomorrow. The diodes you speak of are not necessary - but if any Sparky dudes here want to chime in, feel free to post in case if we need to get them ASAP???

You told me the solenoid would come seperate, so its all good. You also told me about the cover also, when we talked about the bracket for the run/tow switch.

I do appreciate all your help so far. And there will prolly be more questions coming

Oh - I may have not understood your question then? I've never seen a solenoid that comes with diodes. We may have gotten mixed up when I said that the controller comes complete with the PDS harness and the fuse. Solenoid is just the solenoid:thumbup:

Did you need the bracket for the switch?

Mike do you sell the diodes?

If so I'll prolly go ahead and order one and get one of the brackets also while I'm at it.
