Re: 1987 cc very slow
Put the cart on jack stands and remove the seat. Press the gas slowly by hand. Each solenoid should click in progression. Solenoid #1 is the master power supply #2 should start the wheels rolling and then each consecutive click should result in a slight bump in speed.

Re: 1987 cc very slow
the old resistor carts do start off slow, that is to build up to the top speed
it is why you have 5 solenoids , that are controlled by 5 micro switches in the speed switch http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/...d%20switch.png check your resistor coils and solenoid http://i1109.photobucket.com/albums/.../solinolds.png solenoid test Quote:

Re: 1987 cc very slow
Thanks for info.what made my 1987 ds jerk and fast take off speeds.it did that before the catrt went to slow speed.

Re: 1987 cc very slow
a stuck solenoid could cause it to jerk and take off
as a solenoid not engaging would make cart slow |
Re: 1987 cc very slow

Re: 1987 cc very slow
The sky is the limit. First thing to do would be to upgrade to solid state with a controller, then consider going to 48v but keep your 36v motor. People have had great results doing that...
