2007 DS IQ vs 1995 DS 48v Series for best speed?

Hi, Had my old cart (1995 48v club car)stolen a month ago or so and had it done up with Admiral motor/500 amp Alltrax/2 Ga cables/F&R switch etc from scottyb. It ran as advertised (22mph on flats) but in my next cart I would like some more speed on flats and uphill.

I have two cars I'm considering for similar money:

1995 club car DS 48volt with upgraded controller and motor. It was old stuff, I couldn't identify brands easily. It ran about 19 or 20mph on my gps on flat ground, definitely did not have the punch of the 500 amp controller in my old cart. $1750

2007 club car DS IQ with 4 12 volt batteries. looks to be completely stock, ran about 16 mph on my GPS, batteries could have been discharged as owner hadn't plugged it in for at least a few weeks he said. $2000

I need at least 25 mph on a flat to be happy, and ideally similar mph up small to medium hills. If cart needs to have 30 or 35 mph top speed to get the uphill speed that's fine too.

The other option is that I can get a fixed up Precedent that has new batteries and a high speed motor that runs 25 mph. Maybe this option saves me money? $3700

Please let me know your thoughts on which cart is better starting point and which will require less work to get the speed I need.

THanks!

This and a XCT controller. Then if I wanted more, an Executioner motor.

PS- I have the identical cart...

How much MPH did you get with just the XCT?

The XCT300 alone will get you over 20 MPH without changing any major components on the cart or upgrading any wiring.

If you get this one plan on getting new batteries

so everyone thinks I can get to a solid 25 mph or more with the 07 DS IQ for less than $1700? If not, I'm probably better off getting a fixed up precedent with a hi speed motor from a local guy who builds them right?

https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/c...-club-car-prec actually for about $1300-$1400.

If you want even more speed you can skip the A2 motor and go with a Plum Quick Executioner for another $100....

When speaking of upgrade, be aware that the DS IQ and a Precedent IQ or Excel is going to use the same upgrade components. If you like the DS, upgrade it.
