Im new to ezgo and utility carts lol. What is the difference between the 2? One for more torque and one for high speed? Or engagement speeds?

I looked it up and I think the 28deg would be best. I am dropping a diesel in it and don't want to blow out the 36deg clutch

Sounds good.
But I do not believe you would want the 28 clutch.
I believe it is used to build more torque right away, and with your diesel it will not be lacking in that department.

I plan on putting the 8:1 gears in the rear end

I may still have a driven clutch leftover from an old cart. You can have it if I can find it in the shop. I will check in the storage shortly. My MPT1200 was an '09 model, with the Kawasaki engine. The clutches still worked okay when they were removed. I upgraded to the Team clutches when shopezgo.com was having a good sale on them. Another member on here needed a drive clutch, so that got sent to him. I will check back after looking for it.

Sounds good that'd be great! I am swapping a diesel into it so I will be going with the comet 780 clutch like my other diesel cart
