All Cables not the same?

How can these 2 gauge cables only be $33 when ScottyB cables (Which I have owned in the past) run $240.

I know ScottyB cables are great quality and that is probably the route I am going to go but just checking my options.

Noticed he is only selling half the wires.

Perhaps it is the metals used to make them. Might be the same gauge but different metals.

Try a set and then buy another if they are good and the first set doesn't have all the wires.

Looks like a good set and price

Post on the quality if you try them!

Re: All Cables not the same?

It's simple most of the time, the insulation is super thick and the actual wire is not copper, but copper clad..... much different.

That said, he's stating the proper wire type, specs, and type. I'd buy a set to confirm, use PayPal, and if it's not what he says they are then send them back.

As for the high price places charge for cables.... well, Best Buy and stores like that have been doing it forever. A hdmi cable you buy at Walmart for $10 will do pretty **** close to the same think as that monster cable you just shelled out $180 for.. the monster is better yes, but the difference is so small your eyes won't notice it unless you have the two side by side.

I bought a 16 ton crimper, 30' of 2gauge "same specs as ad" 20 5/16,10 3/8 lugs, 4' adhesive heat shrink, rubber tape for the seam, and a heat gun for under 100 bucks. I have no knowledge of IQ carts, but if that's all the cables needed for the complete system he's not doing bad, but actually has a decent price.

out of curiosity, where did you get your crimper from. Been thinking about the same thing, building my own cables.

You probably answered your own question. The quality.

Like the old Bluesman used to say: "You pays yo' money, you takes yo' chances."

I noticed that he does have one neutral feedback about golf cart cables he sells saying the cables were too short and another negative feedback about golf cart cables he sells saying the wire were supposed to be 4 gauge and it was crap and it must have been a joke. Not saying that these two feedbacks should speak for the whole deal but it does seem strange that he is selling these so cheap.
