Leaf springs failing - Need advice
So as expected my leaf springs are starting to flatten after almost a year and are going to need replacing soon. I tried searching but really didn't come up with anything definitive so I started my own thread.
I want to replace the rear leafs along with shocks. What do you guys recommend for replacements that won't make it ride like a tank? I saw somewhere on here about using shocks from a 70's ford pinto or something similar? Thanks for the help |
Re: Leaf springs failing - Need advice
so the question is what shocks to use? or what springs to use?

Re: Leaf springs failing - Need advice
for the springs, I would get the HD 4 leaf type, from my experience, their spring rate is slightly softer. as far as the shocks...I have heard the same thing.....but I haven't replaced mine....however I put new ones on my nephews cart that he used OFF ROAD, so he wanted something a bit stiffer and carries a heavy load at times, so went with Monroe gas filled, not regular shock.
