I used a warn Vantage 2000s. Works very well. I would go with the rope not the wire. I fabricated a steel mounting box that I welded to my front brush bar. jakes also makes a nice winch mount. I have used mine plenty of times!

I got a warn winch on my parts cart. The remote switch is wrecked up. But I've hooked the winch to power and it works. I would sell it cheap. But I don't care to ship. I'm in north Florida. If your close and interested, let me know.

How close to Central Ohio are you? I have a 4x4 WITH a winch. See signature line below for build thread.
