Replaced starter generator then this happened

Hi I just purchase a 92 DS gas and old owner said it needed a new starter generator and when I installed the new one and fired up the engine I got smoke and oil coming out of the exhaust pipe. Wondering what my next problem is.

Is it over full of oil? If not ,probably valve adjustment at least or piston rings. If the vent on fuel pump os clogged it could cause pressure in motor ,pushing oil past basically everything

Is the crankcase full of gas? Possibly a stuck float that got your engine full of fuel or a bad fuel pump would be my initial guess.
