Truthfully, what gauge of wire matters (when it's between 14 and 16 gaude) very little. I would go for the 16 gauge wireing myself. This heavy wire will be sure to carry a lot of power and have no issues. You could use ether one and it would be fine.

I do not have an underglow panel and I am not interested in one, but the lights that I do have installed on my cart, I put the panel on the dash next to the steering wheel. My headlights and tail lights must be reliable. I chose 16 gauge marine (maine/boat "things" (seats, etc) are always good for carts) wire for my cart's power system.

14ga is heavier than the 16ga but both will carry the minimal amps you are talking about.
The directions don't mention what ga. to use? Do they mention an inline fuse?

I see allot of under glows on carts how much power do these carts put out? Must be enough to run the lights and a stereo, i would assume.
Under glow i have to agree i would run 16g...
