Replacing rear seals - 2003 Club Car

How difficult is it to replace the rear seals in a 2003 Club Car? While replacing my rear brakes, I discovered oil all in the drum area on the right side. I couldn't find any Youtube videos. Can you get a book to help with maintenance?

It's relatively easy - I did mine early last year....BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE CORRECT RIGHT ANGLE CIRCLIP PLIERS. Otherwise it's a real bear without the right tool. The seals remove, and the new ones tap-in-place easily, once the axle is pulled.

Here's an old drawing showing location of the circlip.

Thanks joesam. I appreciate your help. I have some retaining ring pliers but not 100% sure they will fit. I will check in a bit. Thanks again.

I downloaded the service manual pdf and that helps a lot. Did you have to use a bearing puller to get the old seal out?

Nope. They can be gently levered out with a wide flat screwdriver. They are not a press fit.

I tapped the new ones back in with the wood handle of a hammer.
