2010 Tomberlin 500 LE - Intermittent main dropout

I have a 2010 500 LE, batteries are ~3 yrs old

I am having an issue that seems to present itself at intermediate throttle positions, i.e. when the accelerator isn't fully depressed and the vehicle is operating at a slower speed. The cart will motor, sometimes for awhile, sometimes for only a few seconds, and will stall; the controller reports a error code 5-5 (main contractor dropout). releasing the accelerator and pressing again will typically reset the controller, and the vehicle will motor again.

Could this be the accelerator pedal sensor "dropping out"? not sure where to start, appreciate any troubleshooting tips to point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Justin

Check battery connections, and battery voltage under a load

I changed out the battery cables with new, topped off the water and problem was solved

After reading several threads with similar issues (dropout) it does seem like even intermittent voltage drops will cause a main contractor dropout...

Thanks for the advice!
