My "DUTI" build

I've just started work on an 02 Club Car DS. It's a flood cart from a hurricane I picked up fairly cheap. This is my second cart but the first one I've ever worked on. I'm fairly handy...do my own maintenance on vehicles, boat, lawn stuff, etc. I will be needing some help along the way if you kind souls can help.

The cart was missing most of the electrical stuff. I've pulled all the suspension off and have either painted the old stuff or bought new. While I'm waiting on that, I'm trying to get a list together for the electrical stuff. Am I missing anything from this list?

motor/controller - going with a Navitas 600a 5kw AC combo
400a solenoid
MCOR - I'm not sure yet. It has one but I may switch it out.
ERIC charger
2ga cables/terminal covers
FNR switch
voltage reducer - does the Navitas have one built in by chance?
charging receptacle with fuse
small fuse box for 12v stuff

That's about all I've got right now. I'm open to any and all suggestions. The plan is to build a low, fast cart.

Looks like the start of a great project.

:sign3: to BGW

You've got a great platform to build on!

I've heard great things about the Navitas controllers. It won't have a voltage reducer built-in, but several site sponsors carry high quality reducers, such as this one. https://www.cartsunlimited.net/12v-reducers.html

As for the charger, don't get an ERIC, as they can be very problematic. Get a Lester Summit II, which is a fully automatic, bluetooth capable charger. Again, site sponsors carry them.

Regarding the MCOR, since the cart was flooded, I would replace it. You can get an MCOR4 conversion kit (the newest MCOR version) here: https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...conversion-kit

Have fun with the build!

Thanks for the info. I've already done business with both of the vendors mentioned so I'll definitely hit them up for the parts.

Can anyone tell me what brand rims these are? Can't quite read the cap.

I wouldn't go out of my way to buy an ERIC charger unless you can get it dirt cheap or free. They're fine chargers, but if you're paying money for a new charger, get the Lester Summit II. Easier to use, 4 year warranty, more reliable.

No controller has a built in voltage reducer that I'm aware of.

If that was a flood cart it needs everything electrical replaced. MCOR too. Upgrade to the MCOR4, and get an all new IQ wire harness for it. It's like $150 for the entire harness and will get rid of all the gremlins you'll end up with from corroded wires and junked up terminals in the old harness.

Jake already mentioned it, but talk to David Hicks at Revolution and he can get you everything you need for the cart. From the key switch to the motor, and everything that fits in between.
