Sound bar too heavy to mount?
2 Attachment(s)
Wasn’t sure where to put this, so figured I just put it in the same forum as all my other questions.
Picked up the Bazooka party bar for a stereo on the cart. They offer a 24” or 36” size so naturally being a guy, I went with the bigger is better! Thing is pretty big haha.....weighs 18.5lbs If I mount it to the roof support, I’m fine, right? No worry of it being too heavy? Obviously don’t want to mount it just directly to the roof. Pic of it sitting on dash for size visual |

I think you'd be fine mounting to the front uprights. Just be careful if you plan on running a windshield that you space it in far enough for a windshield to close properly. I'd hate to see you get it mounted only to find you cannot close your windshield. Nice cart BTW!

I think I’m actually going to fabricate a bar connecting the 2 rear supports and mount it back there |
Re: Sound bar too heavy to mount?
can you post pics of the finished product? also where did you get your headlights for the titan body?

Re: Sound bar too heavy to mount?
Since you are fabbing a cross bar, I’d consider including some sort of triangulation support where it mounts to the uprights. Reason being is that adding 18lb up that high will probably want to shake the roof side to side like crazy any time you hit even a small bump. IMO golf cart roofs flex around more than necessary as it is. Now would be as good a time as any to make yours rock solid.

I’ll get pics up in a day or so, I’ve had the bar for awhile, ended up having a local shop fab one up. However, it didn’t turn out “as clean” as he wanted and he didn’t get a chance to paint it before I needed it so I paid next to nothing for it. Just finally dropped it off at the local powder coater late last week and should be getting it in a day or so |
