Club Car 48V charging question

I am in Smyrna, GA. I have a 1998 Fairway model that I recently acquired. It has been in storage for a long timed and needs a few things to get it going.

Sorry about the title, I accidentally posted tech question here.

Re: Club Car 48V charging question

Thanks!

My battery indicator lights is blinking 10-4 after installing new Batteries and cables. It continues to blink when charger is connected. After 24 hrs the voltage is a 49.6. The charger cycles when plugged in then goes to zero.

The cart was stored over 10 years without batteries.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing the issue? I am thinking OBC at this point.

One common problem is that the small 10ga red wire from the charger receptacle gets left off. On the pos battery connection there should be 2 red wires one large red and the small 10ga red. Or you could have wired a battery in backwards.

The "The charger cycles when plugged in then goes to zero" can be a symptom of the OBC not able to read the charging current.

That can happen if you altered the negative cable connection that must go through the OBC.
