Do these refurbished golf cart batteries kits work? I saw on e-bay?

There is not really any GOOD way to refurbish a lead acid battery. They will eventually quit working. That guy may have good feedback but what about 6 months down the road? (ebay feedback doesn't work that way.) With that being said....do a google search for "Epsom Salt + Battery". All the guy on ebay is doing is selling the info on how to do it.

Hopefully, I just saved you and a bunch of other people $6.

wished I would have seen this a couple weeks ago !! hahaha. I paid for the info and did my batteries. It's been less than a week but I can tell an increase in the run time. And supposedly you'll be really able to notice a difference after 10 days. 10 tbs to 1 quart of distilled water. I sucked out a quart or so from each battery (to the top of the lead plates) with a turkey baster and replaced with this solution. That'll be $6 please !!!!!!! lol

Epsom Salt's chemical name is Magnesium Sulfate. What you are really doing is desulphating the lead plates. (remove the built up crud to expose fresh lead) I would do this....but only as a last resort before buying new batteries. If your golf car batteries are toast anyways what can it hurt.

Do not attempt to put Epsom Salt directly into your battery because it will not dissolve into the battery acid, Epsom Salt will only dissolve in water.

Got a bad set of batteries? Don't want to spend the cash on a new set? Just need to buy some time so you can save the cash? Then keep reading on how they do it. It doesn't work all the time, it depends on the condition of the batteries.


ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN WORKING WITH ACIDS!

1. SAFETY CLASSES AND GLOVES!
2. Epsom Salt
3. Distilled water
4. Turkey baster
5. Cooking thermometer (optional)
6. 1 quart pot (optional)
7. Stove (optional)

***The first part doesn't HAVE to be done. It will still work, it just works better when the solution is warmed.

* With the distilled water in the 1 quart pot, turn the stove on and bring the water temp up to about 150 degrees. DO NOT BOIL! If you don't have a thermometer just bring the temp up to "Just before a boil".

* Dissolve 10 tablespoons of Epsom Salt into the hot water. (again, doesn't have to be hot but it doesn't work as well.)

* Now simply pour the solution into your batteries.

(If the battery is too full you will have to remove some electrolyte with a turkey baster so you can replace it with the Epsom salt-distilled water solution.)

A quart & 10 tablespoons epsom's salt will do 6 -6volt batteries?

no, a gallon and a half of distilled water and 60 tablespoons of epsom salt will do 6 batteries, 1 quart of solution per battery. Like Roady said, warm the distilled water to just before boiling and then add the epsom salt to dissolve. I did the entire 6 quarts of solution in a big pot all at one time. Like Roady also said, it desulfates the plates (removes built up scale on the plates themselves) so that it can take a charge more effectively. It has worked for me. Like I said before, it's been less than a week but I can already tell a difference in the amount of run time.

Well I did it,Put on my safety glasses,old clothes.Used turkey baster to suck out acid/water/Took a while too: almost 45 minutes.Mixed solution(yes @ 150 degrees).refilled batteries/shaked them some.Road around some=Little stronger it seemed! Time will tell.??????????
