Solenoid activation circuit w/ Alltrax xct4000pds
 

I just replaced my Alltrax XCT controller because I lost reverse. Now with new controller, I have no forward or reverse ( I had forward for 24 hrs). Scotty B thought it might be a problem with the solenoid activation circuit. I am hoping for some diagnostic help.

Reference your operator manual page 16.

Power (+) comes into the XCT control circuit at C1 pin 4 and 5.
Can you verify you have power at pin 4 and 5.

Power (+) goes out to the F&R switch on pin 1.
Verify power out on pin 1
With the F&R switch in reverse power should be coming in pin 2
With the F&R switch in forward power should be coming in pin 3

If all the above conditions are met;
The key switch is out on pin 9 and in on 8
The foot-switch is power out on C4 pin 1 and in on pin 2

Weird, but maybe the act of probing reset some loose connections. After a couple weeks everything still works great now!
