Jake's vs. Allsports Long travel

Can't decide which long travel to put on the front. Not sure I like the extended and widened stance of the Jake's. Any advise, opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I can’t comment on the allsport but I just put the Jakes on mine and oh my, what a difference in ride from a spindle life. It made such a difference I’m plotting building a coil over/three or four link for the rear.

I went with the Jakes because shipping on the allsport was ridiculous.

Be prepared with the Jake's kit to also buy HD rear leaf springs to level out the front with the rear. To make the widened front look better you'll need 3in wheel spacers for the rear. So about 200 bucks on top of the lift kit price.

I had a pretty good customer service experience with Nivel and Jake's recently. They sent me a new set of shocks and also discounted me a set of heavy duty front springs after the front coil overs started leaking.

I have not heard of any reported issues with the allsports kit what so ever.

Yes, I forgot about the rear spacers.

I have HD rear springs on the back but the ride height is adjustable with the Jakes so easy to match rear.

I had my nephew install my Jakes 6" LT kit two years ago. I drive my hunting cart on some really rough surfaces and the Jakes has performed very well. I also have the Jake's front disc brakes. I don't know if the Allsports will "allow" the Jakes brakes to fit. I can't think why not....I just don't know.

As for the heavy springs in the rear, all I can say is I have\had HD springs on my TXT. Since I went to lithium batts and lost 400-lbs, I need to remove 1 or 2 of the leafs (I'm thinking 2) in order to soften the rear's current harsh rear ride.

I would think the Allsports makes a quality product. And frankly, Allsports was not even on my radar two years ago. If you have or need\will need front brakes, you may want to determine if the Allsports will accept these without issues.

FWIW

I've put 2 on precedents and even on the lowest setting in the front it was still higher than the rear. The precedent leafs are extremely soft tho. Just my experience.

I have a DS so there might be a difference. I have a lot of adjustability. Now that I look at the picture it looks like I’m all the way down to get it level.

Re: Jake's vs. Allsports Long travel

Thanks for all the info guys. I have a Madjax 6" A-Arm on it now, so the rear already rides like its on cinder blocks. Since its a hunting buggy, I did lower the air pressure on my tires to 8lbs and that has brought some relief to my back and kidney's.

I'm not a speed nut, so will probably only do disc brakes in the rear. I got the torque I needed with a motor and controller upgrade, so now I can get food to my deer. LOL

May have to go with Allsports to keep front track close to OEM.

Thanks again for all the advise and info.

I started out the same way. Running low pros the ride was such an improvement. Adding the HD leafs really killed the ride quality.

3 years later and well addiction has led to a monster. Lol https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...aff55abae8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1cce192b0d.jpg
