Ezgo marathon engine dies at full throttle
New to golf cart world ,I picked up a 1992 gas marathon model to ride around the campground. It runs good when starting and taking off but seems to loose power when hits a top speed. No backfiring or anything, if I let off the pedal and hit it again it picks back up speed, some one has already maxed out the governor adjustment. Is this normal ?? I Just figured it should hold one throttle speed on flat ground or is there some kind of limiter built in somewhere??

Is it a two stroke or four stroke? Mines a ‘92 and it’s a 3PG.

Since the governor is already adjusted, I'm thinking it's bouncing off of the rev limiter. That cuts the spark.

I’ll try backing off governor ,someone Has maxed out the adjustment, see if that works !
