YAMAHA 4" BLOCK LIFT worth it?
If I ever get my engine sorted out on my G9 (minor overhaul) I might want to lift it. The Block lift kits seem pretty inexpensive. Are they worth it? I really don't want to shell out the $$$$ for the "good" lifts. I already get the "look" from the wife about spending more money on the old cart.

The 4" lift will serve you well, if you know your limitations. Around the house and mild off road you will be fine. I have the 4" lift from Steeling on my G16 yard cart. Zero problems. The newer block lifts are better engineered than the older ones. https://www.steelenggolfcart.com/col...ock-lift-g2-g9

Re: YAMAHA 4" BLOCK LIFT worth it?
If you are lifting it just for looks, then it will work fine. I think you can use 20" tires with a 4" lift. Keep in mind that the handling will be affected. Single a arm front suspensions usually are very finicky when it comes to toe and camber changes and if they are off the steering and handling can get a little sketchy at higher speeds. Replace your front shocks if they are worn out, this can help quite a bit. Poor handling, sagging front suspension, erratic steering feel are all signs of worn front shocks.

I dont plan on really any off road stuff. Mostly pavement and gravel roads. I know it needs shocks in the front. I have the heavy duty springs on the back with the rear seat. I will get better tires when the ones I have wear out.

Re: YAMAHA 4" BLOCK LIFT worth it?
My opinion,
I used one of those lift kits on my G9. Regretted it ever since. Loved the cart, hated the lift. It rode like a Cadillac before the lift. Rode like a roller skate after it. That cart is gone, but if I had to do it again I would spend a little more for the double A arm lift. The all sports one isnt that much more. I dont off road either. Just around my property, and dirt roads mostly. |

Found this thread looking around to see what kind of lift I have. Good pics Dave, hey any one know why the driver rear kicks at an angle more than the passenger side?
