Programming Data ??

Has anyone ever compiled a list of controller mappings for different controllers?
I searched for this type info, but when the posts are over 100 pages deep
I don't have the attention span to look thru every page.

Specifically I am looking to reprogram my Curtis 1268 5403.
I have printed out the Manual and a nice chart of Min/Max/Default that will assist in tracking/making minor tweaks.
I guess what I am looking for is a bit of a guide for this controller (similar motor and tire size) so I am not chasing my tail for days on end.
I know every cart has different components that make it impossible to have a "ready map" that would work for every cart.
I would like to get myself a little more torque. Not knowing what to adjust is gonna make for a tricky trial and error session to make this happen.

A quick thumb thru the Manual and I found some useful info on "hill climbing"
Maybe this wont be as bad as I thought....

The 1268 5403 should be the 400 amp controller. Another option it has is to have two different modes. M1 and M2 that each allow multiple options for what you want to do. Turtle and Rabbit basically.

Yes I questioned that in another post a while back.
I have not installed the switch yet but it looks like by default the M2 is the Rabbit.
Its been a long winter. I paused from playing around with my cart and now that the weather is not so cold I am excited to get going again.

I really don’t remember what mode is default. It has been a few years since we built the cart we used it in. We did use a custom D&D motor and got a lot of the settings to use from them. We had the 500 amp version with a 15:1 rear with posi spinning 25” tires. Would run upper 20s in high and was a beast in low.

This cart is a little on the heavy side to begin with and our area (camp site) has a good number of hills literally you are either going uphill or downhill there is no flat ground anywhere. The speed limit is 5 mph so I do not see a problem with the current programming, it should do just fine. My test runs so far with this cart and two people on it are 19 mph running on flat ground, when faced with a 10 to 15% grade it slows to 14 mph.
I am sure this is normal but IMO I would like a tiny bit more juice going up hills.
I will try to get the switch installed and see what happens. That may eliminate me messing with the programming all together.

Got the "mode" switch hooked up and it is opposite what i thought.
With M2 activated it limits the cart to 10mph.
with no change to the power the cart delivers.
once the season starts and I actually get some miles on her, I will rent the programmer and play with the settings.

If you have some computer skills go read this thread at pages 113, 114, 120 and 121.. Build your own cable. Cost about $30

Cable is TTL-232R-3V3-WE and will need a ATX power supply extension cable
