oil light Club car

well i ran my cart hard today trying to get a top speed and the oil light came on, when i slowed down it would go off. I checked the oil and it is full. This is a club car non lifted i have the gov un hooked and i am sure i was turning the motor to hard but i have done it before with no problem. I do not do this often and only for short bursts i figured it would be ok. any ideas

My 1995 Club Car does the exact same thing. Might be something to do with the sensor at high rpm's? Im not to sure

It basically means that your over-reving, and the oil can't get back to the crankcase fast enough!
put a tach on it... in maintenance mode, and adjust you're govenor so it won't go over 4300 RPM's
and it probably won't light up on you anymore!

And besides...you might get some serious engine damage if you continue to run it that fast!

my 2 cents

Drop to a lighter grade oil or synthetic 10-30 or 5-20 problem will be gone.

I run max pressure on my stock tires, i guess it all depends where you drive.
