2009 Yamaha Drive...Solenoid Randomly Clicks While Sitting
 

I have a 2009 Yamaha Drive having issues. First issue is when you press the foot pedal down it seems to want to go full speed right away and then when at full speed it starts to slow back down. The throttle sensor has been replaced already with no fix. Also when it is just sitting there weather its an hour or a week the solenoid will randomly click. Could it be the speed sensor? I also read somewhere that the controller could need an update? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have totally seen this with a earlier model and a DCX controller, but have never seen this with a newer drive and a XCT controller.

UPDATE!! With no fix yet!! Owner stated that he let the batteries drain all the way down and replaced the batteries when this problem started. I installed a new throttle sensor with no change. I can get the cart to accelerate slowly if i turn the throttle sensor by hand very slow. Is there something that I am missing here? The only thing I believe that is left to look into is the controller which I'm guessing would have to be sent in?

I know this is an old post, but my cart is doing the exact same thing. Did you ever find out the issue?
