2004 48 volt will not go after unplugging charger. 15 sec delay sometimes
is many minutes. Checked all connections. Suspect computer,

Try turning Tow Run switch on off. I've seen carts that have to be put in tow then back to run after charging to get them to work. Oxidation in switch.

Put the car in reverse. Cycle the pedal one time. The reverse buzzer should come on in a matter of a few seconds indicating that the system is awake and ready to go. If the vehicle still doesn't move after this happens you have another issue. Typically this is an MCOR failure.

Neighbors cart. Just realized no computer-only a controller

If it's a 48 volt car it should have a computer unless somebody has bypassed it. If it's been bypassed, it's obviously not the problem. Your symptoms point to a bad MCOR. The MCOR is the throttle switch under the floor. They have a micro-switch in them that communicates with the controller when you depress the pedal. When the micro-switch starts to fail, they operate intermittently and eventually fail completely. That's exactly what it sounds like to me. You can test it by un-plugging the 2 pin connector from the MCOR and jumping the wires together within the connector with a paperclip or a piece of small wire. If the problem is gone, replace the MCOR and enjoy your cart. The correct part that you would need to order would be AM293101 MCOR to MCOR4 conversion kit if it's a DS. The original MCOR is no longer in production, but the MCOR4 conversion kit includes everything you need to update the system. If it's a Precedent, you'll need a 102528501 MCOR2.

thanks for all the feedback. Solenoid comes in every time pedal is depressed.
Contact in sol is good. After a lengthy delay cart will take off.
Rather dangerous situation.

If the solenoid is clicking and you're sure it's making an internal connection you might want to inspect the motor. When these motors fail they tend to behave this way. Typically you can get the car running by pushing it simultaneously while you're trying to go. If the cart begins to move when you give it a push you can bet that the motor has failed.

You can also test the motor with a good multi meter...the steps are eluding me right now, but I am sure someone here will know.....BUT better yet, pull the motor, and do a visual inspection of the internals..brushes etc...

I would look at the solenoid a bit more too.....not often, but they may CLICK and still be faulty....I have had that issue before, and its easier than motor...just a thought

Going to change the MCOR. Next is to look at the controller.
Checked the motor and the sol contacts. All check ok with meter.
Motor not getting any power. Maybe I should just shoot it.
